The Haute Joaillerie Spring Summer 2023 jewels

Summer 2023 jewels

The trends in jewelry on the spring 2023 read-to-wear runway continue to evolve from those we saw in seasons past. Hoop earrings circle around for another season, and they seem to be picking up motion rather than slowing down.

Beads and gemstones continue to offer color options, while the 80’s inspirations evoke more punk than ‘career woman’. Bracelets are worn on the wrist and the arm and are witnessing a resurgence.

Hearts are anything but conventional, and they, too, continue to beat stronger with textural interest and intricate details. Flowers, which traditionally blossom into a springtime jewelry trend (as sarcastically quoted from Meryl Streep’s character in The Devil Wears Prada, “Florals for spring, groundbreaking”)…But, they always speak to renewal, so we will stick with them! Plus, more sculptural and minimal interpretations showed up on the catwalk with a bohemian, artistic feeling and are being translated in designer studios.

Jewels, jewels, jewels… But these are very special: the jewels of the High Jewelery collections unveiled to the general public in conjunction with the Parisian Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023 fashion shows that have just ended (Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Boucheron, Chopard…).

The characteristics of Haute Joaillerie? They are the uniqueness, the preciousness of materials and stones and the production process that must be made entirely by hand. Pieces that take your breath away when you wear them and make those who admire them dream. Here are the ones that made us dream.

Victoire de Castellaine, creative director of the jewel world of Dior, returns to enchant me with a collection that is a “love letter” to Monsieur Christian Dior, it is no coincidence that it is called “Dearest Dior”.

Many references to the past: flowers, bows, lace formed by diamonds and obviously the trés chic taste of the individual pieces. The jewels fall lightly on the body as if to merge with the skin, a feature that the artistic director particularly cared about.

The feeling one gets when looking at the jewels from Louis Vuitton’s Haute Joaillerie collection is that they wanted to pay homage to the world of leather goods from the maison, there is something that subconsciously reminds it.

The collection is called Spirit and is the fourth High Jewelery collection designed by Francesca Amfitheatrof, Artistic Director of the Louis Vuitton Jewelery and Watch Collections. 30 unique pieces that release strength, freedom and creativity, characteristics of women who love the maison.

The Boucheron maison, based in Place Vandôme, is one of the historic brands of fine jewelry. Famous for its creative pieces, exceptional stones and Wladimir, the symbolic cat, it has always been one of the reference points in the world of jewellery.
